I'm a self-taught tinkerer with a strong technical background and a wide range of interests & skills

3D assets and animations

I started using Blender in 2018 to create custom assets for Tabletop Simulator and I quickly found myself wanting to use it for everything. From short looping animations to fully-rigged, custom assets - I enjoy the flexibility and creativity it allows. I've used it for fluid simulations, rigid body experiments and animated shorts.

I'm happiest when modelling meshes or knocking up a node-based material to get the results I want.

Game engines

I know my way around an editor or two, but my focus has been on Unity. I've used it extensively to create particle systems, animated objects, rigged characters and high-quality assets for use in existing games and projects. I've also dabbled with Unreal and Lumberyard.

I have been working for Berserk Games as an official DLC Creator for Tabletop Simulator since 2018.

Code

I can bring things to life with code. Lua is my language of choice; its simplicity and finger-friendly syntax makes development quick and fluid, allowing me to focus on the more interesting problem solving elements of a project. I have also used XML extensively to create in-game interfaces.

While my real strengths are with Tabletop Simulator's Lua and XML APIs, I'm picking up C# and the Unity API to have more control over my creations. I've also dabbled with Unreal Blueprints and Lumberyard Script Canvas in simple experimental projects.
